French term

le répartir

French to English Bus/Financial Human Resources change management
It looks to be an error. Surely they mean the noun "la repartition" or am I missing something? Sorry no further context available.

insister sur le développement commercial et **le répartir** par Canal/Processus avec la définition de 3 processus commerciaux :

Discussion

Black & White (asker) Nov 20, 2007:
I agree with "break it down by channel/process"....Julie, can you please offer this as a translation below? That way, I can give you the points once grading is allowed!
Attorney DC Bar Nov 20, 2007:
Agree that 'le' is 'le developpement commercial' and with Julie and siragui's "break it down" since it's hard to see how you could 'distribute' sales growth by channel and process, whereas sales growth could easily be broken down by channel and process...
siragui Nov 20, 2007:
Agree with the above. I'd have said "break it down", like juliebarba.
svetlana cosquéric Nov 20, 2007:
le = le développement commercial
Julie Barber Nov 20, 2007:
divide it up/break it down by 'Canal/Processus'? I was going to say start it up, but I think it's a case of breaking it down into the 3 areas defined

break it down

break it down by....

as per notes above ;-)

I also totally agree with the other posters that le = le développement commercial

ps: really it's about defining / setting out 3 distinct processes within the commercial development process as a whole but as you've already got définition, this is fine....

thanks
agree Donald Scott Alexander : Similar to Julie's other suggestion ("divide it up") but "break it down" is a bit better because it means dividing something up BY something else (ie, by channel/process). I also agree that "le" = "le développement commercial."

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Many thanks for this translation. I must have been very tired when doing this translation as it now seems very obvious that "le" in "le repartir" refers to "développement commercial"!"

to distribute it

repartir is to distribute
then le répartir is to distribute it.
synonyms (classer, assigner, diviser, partager...)
Peer comment(s):

neutral writeaway : dictionary definitions are fine but they have to fit the context. Am sure asker already checked before posting the question.
