French term

âme

French to English Tech/Engineering Aerospace / Aviation / Space nacelle de turboréacteur
Hi,

"Des âmes formant la structure interne pour donner de l'inertie à la virole peuvent être constituées par exemple par des structures en nid d'abeille ou en mousse. Ces éléments d'âmes sont positionnés et ancrés sur la première peau (peau interne).

Would this be "webs" or "cores" here?

Thank you!

obvious translation for me... what makes you think it might be "web"? How could a "web" be "anchored" to sthg... ?
Note from asker:
Mpoma, it is simply the first time I come across this word.
Peer comment(s):

agree Tony M : In some contexts, it could indeed be 'web' — there is a specialized usage of the term which could have made sense here; however, my instinct (only!) says this is probably correct.
