I am an experienced translator for the pair English - Portuguese and Chinese (Mandarin) - Portuguese. 

My academic background is in Oriental Languages and Cultures (more specifically a major in Chinese and minor in Japanese), and, additionally, I have also studied Chinese Language at Beijing Language and Culture University. 

I have started translating 6 years ago while working for big companies such as Nokia and Huawei. I have also worked at the Embassy of Portugal in Beijing for 4 years, where I did translation and administrative work, as well as the management of all the Social Media accounts of the Embassy (such as Weibo, WeChat, and the official website), among others. 

I have also worked for Startimes as a freelancer, where I did translation and proofreading of the following TV dramas:

- proofreading of 42 episodes of TV drama produced by Hunan Television, 麻辣变形计(Hot Girl 2, in English);

- translation of 80 episodes of 情谜睡美人 (The Sleeping Beauty), broadcast by Shenzhen City Channel;

- translation of 52 episodes of Philippine melodrama television series Doble Kara (season 2, translation from English to Portuguese).

I also do online editing at Unbabel occasionally, ensuring good quality translations (from English to European Portuguese). Currently, I am a Senior Editor.
