French term

Le potentiel de récolte est correct

French to English Other Wine / Oenology / Viticulture control of crops in vineyard

----

I'm quite happy with "crop potential" for potentiel de récolte, but "crop potential is correct"? Apart from the fact that I find no google corroboration, this sounds odd to me. I'm sure there must be a proper term to express this. In fact, as you can see, they go on to "correct" the crop potential by carrying out green harvesting (reducing the number of bunches of grapes).

So it seems odd to state that it already is "correct". Correct for what, I wonder...

Any help would be much appreciated - many thanks!

thanks Drmanu - this makes more sense now!
Peer comment(s):

agree Andy Bliss : I think this is the sense. As is when people say 'c'est correct, mais sans plus', meaning it's okay, but nothing special.

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "manu thanks drmanu! You put me on this track, with the help of Andy's explanation. In the end, I used reasonable, which has very slightly more positive implications than adequate, etc. But it's the same idea!"

Note from asker:
many thanks Bruon! I did in fact end up using your choice, but drmanu's very rapid posting had already led me in this direction. I''s a shame the points can't be given to all of you...

the crop potential is decent/viable

A guess supported by the two references below, and many others.
Note from asker:
many thanks Euqinimod! These are all feasible suggestions, but Drmanu and Andy got me going in this direction after 1 minute! But I still wish the points could be shared...
