French term

approche sociologisante

French to English Social Sciences Social Science, Sociology, Ethics, etc.
In a journalistic text about a demographic survey, I have the following:

une approche sociologique ou sociologisante

Can anyone explain the word 'sociologisante'? I have been unable to find it in any dictionaries or glossaries. How does it differ from 'sociologique'?

From context, I suspect it may be slightly derogatory.

Thanks

You haven't given the full context, but since there's an exact English equivalent you may as well use it.

agree Chakib Roula : Yes ,not to confuse with "socialising" one.

agree writeaway : Hard to see what else it could be in the context. Checking the www is step no. 1 I'd have thought.
