Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of context as it's just part of a bulleted list. I do know that it's located in the mail room which doesn't make much sense to me...

A bit more context It's only 10 square meters and fitted with 3 electrical outlets and 1 network jack. The break rooms are bigger and better equipped! So it's nothing very important. And, as I said, it's in the mail room. That's everything I know or can deduce.

Personally I would drop "and design", but it can be added. This is the department where they e.g. test the resistance, reliability of the materials, and study new materials to be used for example in the construction of a building
