Hi all,
I'm translating the website of a company which sells watches. They keep mentioning the concept of "lignes" which I can't quite figure out.

Eg. "cette montre aux lignes simples"
"cette montre séduit par le design harmonieux de ses lignes"

It has also come up in the singular. All I can think is "cut"? What do you think?

Any help you can offer will be much appreciated.

Lines, design, style, styling, look Most of our work is for the watch industry and the suggestions so far are all good. We have used "simple lines" to describe what is basically a very simple watch, but tend to prefer something like "the simplicity of the lines/design".

Design In lots of fields, we talk about 'sleek lines', 'clean lines', etc.

Is there a sepcial reason why you feel this can't be used in your context?
