French term

repris en marge

French to English Bus/Financial Mining & Minerals / Gems
Hello all,

This term comes from a letter. The full sentence is:

"Nous vous prions de trouver, ci-dessous, nos confirmations de prix pour le matériel repris en marge."

I am unsure about the meaning of "repris en marge" here. The material the sentence refers to is mining equipment.

Discussion

Germaine Feb 22, 2011:
about the meaning I woud have suspected "repris en marge" to refer to something like "margin trade-in", "margin account" or "margin buying", something like that. But according to this source:
http://www.mediacongo.net/aofshow.asp?aof=1870
and others similar, it is now obvious that it means "as described hereafter" (or above, or herein, etc. depending on the location of the subject matter):

"...ci-dessous, nos confirmations de prix pour le matériel repris en marge." = pour le matériel dont nous faisons/reprenons la liste ci-après =
"Please find hereafter our pricing confirmation for the following equipment:" or Please find below our pricing confirmation for the equipment as described hereafter:"

Yes, I gathered that must be the case otherwise you wouldn't have been unsure about the translation.
Christopher Fitzsimons (asker) Feb 17, 2011:
No margins in document Apologies, I should have explained that I am confused about this as the document doesn't have any margins so the meaning cannot be literal. Thanks.

This doesn't always literally mean "in the margins". I'm presuming that if you're asking the question you're confused by its use in your document i.e. there are no margins !

Another alternative, although somewhat less elegant, would be "already indicated".
