these units seem to be specific to France, and I am translating the medical report for a North-American client, so not sure if I should express this mEq instead??

also, I have not figured out what "USIP" is about yet...

0/00 Commonly seen in statistics. So it should be 14 pour mille and not 1.4 pour mille. In other words, it's the isotonic solution.

14 {per thousand} If one does a search in this article for "sodium bicarbonate" the {per thousand} symbol shows up... Never seen anything like it until today!

pour mille Agree that the use of "1,4 pour mille" might not be correct. The standard dose is "14 pour mille" as you mentioned. I made a note in the translation... At least now I know that a "pour mille" is like a "pour cent" with a ten-fold difference!

pour mille? This sounds a bit strange. Standard isotonic sodium bicarb solution is 14g/L (1.4%).
