"Edge" being the divide between the corporate network and the outside world. Which is, of course, exactly where you'd expect to find a firewall!!
I reckon if that's what the manufacturer calls it, and it's understandable and makes perfect sense, you can't go far wrong!!

on the enterprise side of the network

networks runs END TO END.....here, you would say the enterprise side of the network!

you can say one end of a network and the other end BUT here the common expression is SIDE...this is the enterprise server-side of the network!!!
