Do your part to propagate the neologism! There is one Ghit in English to match this one in French. :-)

In praise of this neologism:
It's admirable. Rather than obscuring the ultimate cause of all environmental problems -- global warming, deforestation, pollution, soil erosion, endangered species, etc. -- behind a recondite word of Greek origin (anthropogenic), this term connects the environment directly to the agent of its degradation: people!
The planet is overrun with 'em.

This joke has gone on long enough, so I will withdraw it. The thing in question is described as "un cahier des charges populi-environnemental (distance de retrait par rapport aux berges, époques et techniques de lutte contre les adventices, diversification des cultivars, …)".
The subject seems to be peuplement des forets, i.e. populating (planting) them with trees. Not poplars necessarily, but trees.
Still a neologism, though. :-)

peupleraie : lieu planté de peupliers
peuplier = populus, i (f) en latin
peuplier = populus, i (f) en latin
