What is it exactly that is being mis en oeuvre?
It often happens that contractors wish to use a product that the client is not familiar with, and must therefore provide background information on how it is used (in addition to what it is made of). Imagine you're having a new bathroom installed and the contractor wants to use biomortar made from plant resins. You might be suspicious and want to know all the details about how effective it will be in wet rooms and whether its drying time is likelty to force you postpone the big party you were planning to throw.
