Are you translating an actual certificate? As a rule, titles of diplomas and so on are not translated. The reason is that in doing so, there is the risk that a person reading the translated title may infer a different meaning and/or a different level of qualification than the one described on the original certificate.

Attributing equivalent levels of qualification is the job of a equivalence board or commission. It is not something a translator is qualified to do. Nevertheless, as translators, it is something we are often asked to do!

The solution is to retain the original French wording and to provide a fairly literal rendering, whilst avoiding as best you can any form of words which might lead a reader astray. If the awarding unviersity has an English version of its site which provides a formal in-house English rendering then you can use that. However, and this is a big "however", when I see the suggested English on the official uni site which Sandra&Kenneth have tracked down, I personnally would think twice before using Multidisiplinary foundation module giving access to the certificate of university as Level 1 Prevention Advisor". (Yuck!)
