French term

Aucune opposition ne s'est manifestée à ce mariage

French to English Social Sciences Certificates, Diplomas, Licenses, CVs Marriage certificate
From a marriage certificate from Quebec, Canada. I would render this phrase "No objection was raised to this marriage". Your thoughts on that?

no impediment

I believe we talk about "impediment" rather than "objection" to marriage.

Hope this helps.
Peer comment(s):

neutral AllegroTrans : I rather think we speak of both, an impediment would be e.g. a previous undissolved marriage and an objection would be e.g. an intervention by a third party (with or without grounds)
