French term
communication de socle
French to English
Bus/Financial
Advertising / Public Relations
PR/media relations
This is the title of a section in a document issued internally by an auto manufacturer in France, urging new communications actions, in relation to the press and the community at large. I'm afraid the phrase doesn't appear again in the document. I'm guessing something like speaking from the podium, to the press and others. Any more precise phrases out there?

Speaking up / You're the voice
As this is the title of a section, I would be inclined to be free with it. My first thought was "Speaking out", but that seems to imply some sort of injustice. So how about "Speaking up" or even "You're the voice" (remember that bloody awful song?). This should get the message across.

basic communication
Je pense au terme "communication de base" qui s'utilise, puis au jeu de mots "base-socle"

I'm wondering if this isn't the first of many communications to come or the one that creates the basis/foundation of the ensuing ones. Although I think that "basic" communication doesn't quite say that.
