Μια και μιλάς για airships, ίσως είναι καλύτερα "επάλειψη με στεγανωτικό επίχρισμα" ή "στεγανοποίηση".

Υπάρχει και η αεροστεγανοποίηση, που είναι βέβαια για να μην μπαίνει ο αέρας, όχι για να μη φεύγει το αέριο...
