I think 'labor protection' and 'labor insurance' are differnt things, though their Chinese translation might both be '勞保'。Generally speaking, when people say 勞保，they refer to the insurance (勞工保險)，not protection (勞工保護)。

“labour protection”是很常见的，但“labour protection medicines”不常见。是不是国外没有“劳保药品”的说法？如果是这样，“labour protection medicines”应该是可以的。

In this country, worker health and safety is the responsibility of OSH, Occupational Safety and Health, part of the Department of Labour (I think). 是不是中国也这样? (我本来今年要去中国,后来没成,可惜,社会变化太大,我只好上大学读一门"中国社会"课才明白了一点.)
