In English, the 'i.e.' could really be omitted, and you might say something like:
'by way of indication, for a building cost of €...., (a rate of OR the rate would be) ...%'
If you want to keep the 'soit', you mgiht even say in full 'that is', but personally, I feel this is only encumbering the sentence for no good reason!
