In this case, I believe that they are using it as a verb. I am guessing that they are doing some sort of school fundraiser or morale event and will actually tape Mr. Smiths to the wall of the gym. If this is the case then like @Ana mentioned a possible translation could be: El día de pegar al Sr. Smiths a la pared or El día de pegar al Sr. Smiths a la pared con cinta americana.
