Spanish term or phrase: botiquín popular
The context for this one is a survey from Peru. The term appears several times in a list of places where one could seek medical treatment or advice. A few of the other options on the list are clinic, pharmacy, traditional healer, friend or family, etc.

I know botiquín generally means first aid kid or medicine cabinet, but I'm not sure about it in this context. I guess it could be correct but it sounds strange to me to "seek advice or treatment" from a medicine cabinet.

Explanation:
Although "botiquín" does mean a medicine cabinet, I think it may be used figuratively here to mean something like home/folk remedies.

Asker: Thanks, home remedies actually pop up elsewhere in the translation with a different term but I appreciate the response!

Asker: Pretty sure that's exactly what this is referring to, the context is almost exactly the same. Thanks! Not sure how I didn't find that second link in my own searches.
