center; core Explanation: seat: a place where something specified is prevalent : CENTER a seat of learning (Merriam-Webster) -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 48 mins (2020-12-13 19:32:43 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Although this author is unknown to me, I'll venture to make a few comments based on his talk on"The Meaning of Life" (see link below). In paragraph 9 (from the bottom) he quotes Angelus Silesius, who had converted to Christianity: "I know that without me no God can live; were I brought to naught, he would of necessity have to give up the ghost." His conclusion (at least from this part) is that "All things in the world would stand opposed to other things, like poles that cannot meet, were man to be thought away." Now to my analysis: the sympathetic and parasympathetic systems exist in opposition to each other: "Difference between Sympathetic And Parasympathetic Nervous System. The sympathetic nervous system prepares the body for the “fight or flight” response during any potential danger. On the other hand, the parasympathetic nervous system inhibits the body from overworking and restores the body to a calm and composed state." -- https://byjus.com/biology/difference-between-sympathetic-and... One would not make sense without the other, and neither would exist without human beings to witness that they exist! Without these systems our own evolution would be jeopardized, therefore, they are the core of our existence. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 49 mins (2020-12-13 19:33:37 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Sorry, I forgot to paste the URL to the article.
