US Chancery Division
approx. Kansellirettsavdeling rep. - seksjon

Explanation:
I was unaware there is a 'correct' translation of a quintessentially English Common Law concept of a court dispensing 'equitable' remedies. Otherwise, the Law Div. in the US must contrast with an ENG Common Law Div. dispensing the ordinary law vs. Equity as a 'gloss on the Common Law' where the latter had no remedy or one that was too harsh.

Maxim: 'Equality is Equity'.

Example sentence(s):
  • Kanselliavdeling betyr ikke annet enn politisk seksjon; dens unge menn er eliten.
  • the Chancery (også the Chancery Division) forklaring: lordkanslerens domstol (kansellirett, avdeling i High Court of Justice) (også the Court of Chancery) forklaring: høyesterett i Storbritannia før 1873
