Client flow through ProZ.com, already on the rise through 2010, continues to grow in 2011. July saw the second highest amount of work ever passed through the site, after the record high in March of this year.
Remember that while there are as many as 200 job postings made per day (many of them member-only postings), the most common way that clients and translators meet at ProZ.com is through directory and profile searches. By design, this traffic is directed first to members, who receive greatly heightened exposure to these searches, appearing, for example, in the first layer of directory results, before non-members.

(3) New online badge for Translators without Borders volunteers

A new online badge has been created for volunteers working with Translators without Borders, as a form of acknowledgment of their generous contributions. This badge can be displayed in various places and shows the name of the translator and the number of words delivered so far for Translators without Borders via the translation center platform.

(4) Interpreter virtual event on-demand content now available

ProZ.com hosted the first virtual event for interpreters on July 21st, 2011. Over 270 interpreters attended the event, participating in 2 sessions, 3 focus groups, a virtual powow and an interpreter story contest.
On-demand content for the event is now available to all registered attendees.
